Everything about silk print
This is a production request, not a purchase. You pay nothing here. Submit your can size, volume, logo and positioning, and we come back within two working days with a firm quote, a digital mock-up and a production slot.
Why silk print
Silk print puts the ink directly on the can. No label edge, no lifting corner, no sticker that peels in an ice bucket: the print is part of the can. It survives condensation, freezing and the dishwasher, and it is what the large brands on our lines use. We run silk print production of several million cans a year for European beverage and dairy brands; your run goes through the same lines and the same quality control.
Minimum order quantity
10,000 cans per design, per size. Silk print needs a screen per colour and a machine set-up per design, so below 10,000 the set-up dominates the price and roll stickers are the better answer. Above 10,000 the price per can drops fast.
Production lead time
Our current lead time is 9–10 weeks from artwork approval. That figure moves every month with how full the lines are. The number shown on our branding page is always the live one. Your slot is reserved the day artwork is approved, not the day you enquire.
We store it, you call it off
You do not need warehouse space for 50,000 cans. When your run comes off the line we can hold the full quantity in our warehouse and you call off whatever you need: a pallet at a time, a quarter pallet at a time, on your own schedule. Storage for the first six months is included; after that a monthly rate applies per pallet position. Tell us in the form whether you want call-off and roughly how fast you expect to use the stock, and we build it into the quote.
Artwork
Send vector only: PDF, AI, EPS or SVG, text converted to outlines, colours specified in Pantone. Silk print is spot colour: each colour is a separate screen and a separate cost, so a two-colour logo prints cheaper than a six-colour gradient. Our studio converts your file to the print layout, adapts it to the curve of the can and sends you a mock-up before anything is committed. That step is free and there is no obligation.
Positioning on the can
The printable area starts roughly 15 mm above the base and stops about 10 mm below the neck, and it wraps the full circumference. Within that band you decide: a single logo on one side, a repeating pattern, a full wrap with ingredients and barcode. Give us your preference in the form and we work it out in the mock-up.

When does silk print make sense?
When does silk print make sense?
From 10,000 cans per size and design. Silk print has no label edges and no application work, and the price per can is very competitive at volume. Below that, roll stickers are cheaper and more flexible.

The current lead time is shown live at the top of this page, and it counts from artwork approval, not from the day you enquire. Our lines run several million cans a year for European brands, so the figure moves every month. Your production slot is reserved the moment you approve the mock-up.
Do I have to take all 10,000 cans at once?
Do I have to take all 10,000 cans at once?
No. We can hold your finished run in our warehouse and release it a pallet or a quarter pallet at a time, on your own schedule. The first six months of storage are included in the quote; after that a monthly rate per pallet position applies. Choose “Store it, I call off” in the configurator and we build it into the offer.
